We have now reached the end of our time in Tacna! Heading back to Ite and the cold showers in the next hour or so. These past few days we have been working alongside the church - Luz de Vida. We have mainly been involved in childrens work. In the mornings we were able to visit primary schools and give a 20 minute presentation during their break. We also went door to door giving out invitations to the Church, Sunday School and to the Childrens meetings we ran each afternoon in the parks. Good numbers of children attended these meetings. We also took part in the youth meeting on saturday night. We took the Sunday school (where a 6 year old boy asked "Why can Simon not speak very well?? To which Simon answered with a kick in the head...not really but he wanted to!) and we took part in the Sunday evening service.
When we get back to Ite we will be helping to get things ready for the anniversary service at the campsite this weekend. We will also be preparing for our next visit which will be to Puno on the 4th December. We also have to travel to Chile to get our passports stamped in the next 2 weeks - before we get thrown out of the country!

Can you believe it is exactly a month till Christmas? Atleast you wont be missing any snow in Belfast! Heard you got some sort of plastic in your eye Roberta, hope you can see enough to keep the blog going..2 Kings 6:16&17 P.S. this is the THRID time ive written this comment, my comp keeps on deleting it..urg, hate technology!
Dear Roberta and Simon,
It is a blessing to hear from the posts and see from the pictures that your Mission is becoming a worthwhile venture. You seem to be kept active through the Lord continually opening doors and while you work from the outside, He,the Holy Spirit works from within. While you sow the seed, He waters it abundantly. We must all cooperate together. You must constantly ask us to pray for you and we must do it.
God bless you both for your faithfulness.
Acts 13:2.
Dear Roberta,
Is there any word of Christmas in Peru yet? Those in Belfast who are not already mad will soon be caught up in the Christmas rush and probally end up mad. Of course this is a very human way of talking about a very human problem, man's ability to forget about God.Lets hope and pray that some may find salvation this festive season. Perhaps for someone for whom the heart of man shuts out, perhaps the heart of God shuts in. I have been reading over the post again and again and get an exhilarating feeling for the work your doing. To me this mission is a great and glorious project. Walk close to God, Roberta.
